  • Washing microfibers...

I have both the Supreme Shine Microfibers and Ultra Plush Super Terrys. My question is, can I wash these together, or should I do them in separate loads?

Seperate, the terry will shed into the microfiber.

I washed then dried both together and the Ultras shed and attached on to the MF's. I won't do that again. Now I just wash and dry MF's by themselves.

Thanks guys. Also, would it be safe to say wash both my costco microfibers and my meguiar's microfibers together in the same load?

I've done so without a problem!

I wash all mf's together regardless of brand.

While we are on this topic...I haven't been worried at all about washing different MF brands together but I did wonder about washing ones used for different things together. For example, any concerns with throwing ones used on tires/wheels and ones used for waxing in with ones used for all other purposes? I'm thinking about the amount of dirt on the tire/wheel ones and read somewhere that wax can saturate other ones. Also any thoughts on whether microfiber wash products used in lieu of regular detergent are worth it?

If I've got cloths loaded up with wax, dirt, etc., I'll prewash them in a bucket with some laundry soap and ammonia.

That gets the bulk of the grime out and I then feel safe washing them in the machine with the others.

I wash em all together and have had no problems.

There is a thread here that covers the inns and outs of washing MF, but one tip was to add white vinegar to the load. I do and my towels seem "cleaner"...well they have there original "stickyness".....
