Armor All has a soap that you apply to a wet cloth and then you wash your car without a bucket.My question is can this same technique be applied with maguiars car soap?Will applying the soap directly on the paint take off the wax?Thanks Joe

I have a bottle of that wash I'm finishing off... I still use a bucket to rinse or the hose for that matter off my mitt.

Meguiars soap wont remove wax, or at least a negligable amount.

However, it does sound like a lot more of a risk for dragging dirt around on the paint, which would cause swirls.

The blue power gel stuff is good stuff. Well to be honest, it is okay stuff.

Here i show to use the buketless power gel.

1. Get a clean bucket.
2. Spray water into the bucket
3. squirt a small amount into the stream/bucket and make it as foamy as you can.
4. Plan on 3 wash buckets for a tiny car, 4 for a compact, 5 for a mid size or pickup, 6 for a luxury, and use about 8 buckets of soap on an SUV. Maybe 10 on a hummer

This is small buckets though 1.x galons.

Basically, DO NOT ever resue wash water. Wather should go from the bucket to the mitt to the car. You want lots of foamy soap on teh car to lift stuff away rather than drag it in. Think of it as lubrication for dirt particles.

If you were to Quick Detail with just water, you would have swirls faste rthan if you use quik detailer. The same is true for saop. Foam and cleanness are believed to be beeficial.
