Restoring a bug shield

My friend has a truck with a smoke colored plastic bug shield that is completely faded out. The finish is all cloudy. Would a product like PlastX be able to restore the finish?

should do the trick. I used it on my truck when I had the shield on and it really cleaned up well. I use mine on the window visors also. PlastiX really cleans those up well too.
