  • Using Color X

Do I work it in like Scratch X or do I treat it more like a wax? Quick replies would be great because I just finished claying the car. (first time!!)

Treat it like a wax. From my understanding, they rule colorx as a "cleaner wax".

I apply it with some strength also because it contains diminishing abrasives which needed to be breakdown, and when it dries, it will become powdery.
If applied like a wax, probably it wouldn't b e worked in well enough to clean.

Work it in a lot like scratchX you provide the cleaning power.

I recomend working it in about 3 times. I start in an area and apply it by hand. Then I work it until it is broken down and wipe some of it away still wet then repeat twice with more ColorX. Finally after breaking it down via elbow grease the third time, I work it to a thin layer, which I let haze.

Eventually after it hazes like a wax, I wipe it away. It has an amazing amount of cleaning power when worked with passion.

The best answer is either way.

If you need the cleaning ability, work it in a lot/passionatley/firmly.

If you just need a mild cleaner/wax, work it in gently.
