M85,M80 and Carnauba wax

Just wont to no if this would be suitable to use on a very bad bad swirled black 4X4 ?? M85,M80 and Carnauba wax
sorry no pictures at moment it dose not turn up till next week
Would this give me a very clear image ??
or would you recommend another approach to use
This 4X4 would have to be the worst looked after wagon i have seen yet
The owner wants to give it a big birthday
Now that is everything on the outside glass,plastic and alloy bull-bar
This will be a 2 day job i reckon
If it turns out right there will be more things in the pipeline to polish
All the info will be much appreciated

sorry forgot to say i have a rotary and a cyclo buffer to do the job
also have wool and foam pads

From what I read on this site, #85 is for use with a wool pad and #84 is for a foam pad. Both are used with a rotary. IMO, if #84 is recommended for removing wet sanding marks, this system will work fine for your job. I would use #84 with a rotary and foam cutting pad, #80 with a rotary and foam polishing pad, #80 again with a PC and foam polishing pad, and finally a wax/sealer.

M85 with a wool pad and an ocilating sander is going to be very very abrasive.

M84 is quite a bit stonger than M83, yet M84 is still a lot safer and also a foam pad is going to be a lot safer than M85 in that it has less power. Also consider using a DACP if you can.

Unless you have very very hard paint, M84, DACP, and Foam Pad is the strongest you should be going too.

I have used a G-100 with M83 and the 8000 series pad. I have not needed to go stronger than this.

Good point on the #83. If you are good with a rotary I believe #84 will work fine and it will be faster. If you are nervous then stick with a lighter compund which will give you more time before damage occurs.
