I finally received all the Meguiars products and I will do my first detailing job tomorrow morning. My car is 8 months old, silver.

The plan: NXT wash, DC-1 clean, DC-2 polish, NXT tech wash.

I understand that for DC-1 and DC-2, I should do a section at a time then wipe off right away. For NXT wax, I will apply the wax for the whole car first then wipe it off. When I apply DC-1, DC-2 and wax, I should do it in front and back motion, not circular.

My question is when I apply DC-1, DC-2 and NXT wax, should I apply any pressure on it? What I mean is should I rub the stuff against the paint?

Yes. As your skill level comes up and your familiarity and comfort with these products increase, you may find yourself doing larger areas before removing. Paint Cleaners and Pure Polishes do not need to dry before removing.

Use your highest quality terry cloth towels or microfiber polishing cloths to remove excess product.

Because these products are non-abrasive, it shouldn't matter. Use what feels most comfortable to you.

Because your car is only 8 months old, it shouldn't need a real aggressive paint cleaning. But without seeing it first hand, it's hard to know.

I would use gentle soft pressure with a clean foam applicator pads.

Definitely you should clay your finish after washing and before applying the paint cleaner.
