Hi,
Get som Tar and Bug remover made by just about any company. There is a Meguiar's Brand, and there is Tarminator from Stoner.
This stuff is wicked and will take off any wax, by the way.
Jus tod it after washing and see if it helps. Also, claying tends to remove te black goo that won't come off. It seems like overspray, and little spects sheer off with clay. ScratchX is a bit stronger than ColorX in my tests or in my mind. I don't know for sure it is stronger, but if you have ScratchX, you can try that on the lower pannels. It won't hurt to get them extra clean.
When using ColorX, use extra passion. Basically work it until it breaks down to nothingness then put more on and repeat. Then more on and repeat again. Basically apply 3 applications or as needed and then move on to another area. Essentially, I recomend you do what I do, which is work ColorX like it is ScratchX, but leave a thin layer behind to haze then buff it off like a wax instead of just wiping it away like ScratchX. Use plenty of elbow grease. This is not a pure wax, so much of its abilities come from just you.
If you use a foam pad and lightly put on ColorX and then buff it off, you won't get much more than a waxing out of the work. However, if you use considerable elbow grease and are motivated to put a lot of effort and hard work into its application, it will really clean the paint and make the car look like it was painted yesterday.
Usually when someone is unhappy with a product, it is becuase they apply it wrong. I am not suggesting this would be you, I am just saying it is common to underestimate the labor needed. Take for instance the G-100 Porter Cable Polisher. You can imagine how much work that machine does via power tools. YOu have to use your own power with ColorX or ScratchX. So, charge your own battery and do a workout. Keep a Gatoraide and a 6-Pack of Beer ready.
