Really depends on what glaze you are referring to. You will need to work #80 a lot longer than #7 for example. #7 you really don't have to work at all where #80 has abrasives in it that need to be broken down.

Having recently attended Mike's class in Maryland, and having just finished watching the showcargarage DVD, I feel confident in saying that, as for all polishes, #7 should be wiped off immediately after working it into the finish. There is no benefit in leaving it to dry, and that will probably make it more difficult to take off.

Waxes are the only Meguiar's products that should be left to set up or dry before removing.

BTW, the DVD has an excellent segment about the proper technique for using #7.

#7 is one of my favorite products. Apply with just a little pressure and then wipe off. It has a lot of oil in it and I don't know whether it would actually dry, but if so - don't let it! Is basically wo/wo. I've discovered that when taking it off you want to wipe lightly - seems to work better. Will take a couple of passes to remove it. Don't worry about getting all of it - your LSP will catch the rest. It rewards patience and is worth the effort.

I love #7 too - my glaze of choice, and I buy it in 64oc containers regularly (though I do a few cars! :lol. Once you've finished working it into the finish, wipe off the residue immediately. #7 contains a lot of oils, and the product will skin like hot milk - to remove the residue, you need to break up the skin to remove it... I tend to find working with two mf towels works for me, one to remove the residue by constantly varying the direction of wipe to break up the skin and a second clean one to buff to a high shine.
