Hey! I just purchased a '98 jeep grand cherokee and had a few questions.
The body cladding has a slightly chalky appearance to it, looks very dry. I washed it at the car wash and water beaded up on it like crazy, which leads me to believe that someone put regular car wax on it. The question is, how do I get that wax off without harming the plastic paneling? I assume that the new product to apply to bring the factory look back would be Trim Detailer?
Also, the door handles and roof rack are dried out looking. They have a flat black appearance and even look a bit crystalized or something. Microscopic shiny bits all over them. I can see where someone missed with body wax and got it on the handle, and it soaked up the wax like a sponge, I can't seem to rub it off and it left a big white smear from the wax. Any idea how to bring these back to original condition?
Any advise would be great. Thanks!
