  • What to use for wipe after the #80 applied?

    today i polish using G-100 with #80 D/A polish
after done with polishing a spot, i used microfiber towel to wipe off the excess.
but its really hard to wipe them off completely
i have to give hard pressure to wipe them off and ended up making more scratches on clear coat..
how do you guy wipe off the excess of compound??
is there easier way to do it?

If you are needing to apply pressure to remove the residue of #80, it suggests that you may have used a little too much product on the area, or you haven't worked it by PC for long enough... Try a little less product, or working #80 for a little longer - for a 2' square area I generally make one fast pass of #80 at speed 3 on the G100 to spread, one slow pass (1"/sec) at speed 5 with a little pressure then up to speed 6 for two or three further slow passes with light pressue to further work the product. Wipe off is then nice and easy...

If you do have stubborn residues that wont shift with a light wipe from an mf towel, try spraying the towel with a little quick detailer and wiping off the residue - this makes tough residues far easier to remove.

oh man I can share that pain of removing product like that with a microfiber towel. when I come to those kinds of problems, I switch to a 100% terry cloth towelto remove the excess. just be sure the towel is in good condition and clean to prevent swirl marks.

another thing you can try (haven't tried it yet but I suppose it works) is spraying a little bit of quick detailer or final inspection to remove it easier.

      hhope this helps
