  • Help with 2007 Camry...

Hello everybody, I am new here and have been reading some of the threads and have some idea of what products to use but wanted to get some advice. I have recently acquired a 2007 Toyota Camry, and have noticed that when the dealer washed it they made swirl marks. Being that the Camry is Black with a clear coat, you can really see them when the sun hits it. I think I know what to use but would love some feedback:
    1. Scratch X
    2. Deep Crystal Plish
    3. NXT Generation Tech Wax Paste

I was wondering if I am correct in using these Meguiar products and/or if I am missing something?

    Hi Matt,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

I have recently acquired a 2007 Toyota Camry, and have noticed that when the dealer washed it they made swirl marks. Being that the Camry is Black with a clear coat, you can really see them when the sun hits it. I think I know what to use but would love some feedback:

That system will work, you might want to clay the finish just to double make sure there are no bonded contaminants on the paint. Also, after you rub the car out with the ScratchX, polish and wax you're going to want to be very careful how you wash it otherwise you'll just re instill all of the scratches over time.

If you really want to keep this clearcoated black car looking showroom new, then you're going to want to invest in a machine polisher like our G100 dual action polisher.

It will save you a lot of time and make removing swirls so much easier than doing all your work by hand.

I'll include a few articles below to guide you in the process.
