I do that every time as i walk away from my car...... at least two or three looks, each lasting about 5 secs. My wife thinks I am crazy. There have been times when I stay awake in bed waiting for daybreak so I can try out a new Meguiars product that I have just bought the evening before.... think I may need to see a shrink

If you don't do this, you better not consider youself a car guy. If you spend 5+ hours detailing your car, 5 seconds to admire your handywork should be expected. There is nothing like the shine of a freshly detailed car.

Look back at it? Sure but I go a step further.

After detailing I clean myself up and take my wonderful wife out to eat. Then, I like to park where I can see my car from the resturant windows and ask to be seated where I can keep looking at it.

            Definitely!
I always keep standing for some minutes to watch it after detailing.
And I like to watch it when I'm walking away from it because you see it in another angle then

That's funny - And she accepts you looking at chicks as a reason for almost crashing? Sounds like you have a great wife!

Well, most girls would stop to check them self out in reflective windows. Seems as we guys care more for our cars appearance, than for our own

Oh, and I also do look back when walking away from the car, sometimes I pretend it's to check how I parked

It's simple. The first thing girs see is your car. If they love it it doesn't matter to them what you look like

Who doesn't keep looking back at their car/truck after they detailed it?

It's been diagnosed........ I am suffering from Meguiarsmania. It's an incurable affliction and all Meguiarsmaniacs are condemned to suffer the symptoms from the moment they acquire their first Meguiars products.......

There's also the fact that the door of my car is a bigger mirror than anything inside, so I can make sure I'm presentable.

I think the second question that should be asked is...

Who here often finds themselves randomly inspecting other vehicles' paint finishes for any imperfections?

I do that to! The other thing is when I'm at work and the back door is open I'm still checking out my car.
