  • if i like nxt, would i love #21?

ive been using nxt just latley and im really pleased with how easy it is to use and great reflections i get im maybe a little disapointed that the results dont last as long as id like

anyway...once ive used it up i may consider getting #21 does it offer everything that nxt does and more?

ease of use doesnt bother me..just want nxt looks or better and maybe longer lasting

      thanks for the link

that review section makes it more confusing , all the " i layer it with x,y,z " and "#21 scratched my car" etc

          I like #21 also..

I started using GC Wax, and switched to NXT and then to #21..

Mike mentioned the #21 is the pro line of NXT.

2 coats of #21, and you wont be dissapointed.

#21 won't scratch your paint! To me it seems more durable than NXT. You can use #21 by itself or top it with NXT, which I find to be a very nice combination.

OK, take all of what I am going to say with a large grain of salt. I have not actually used either NXT or #21. All of my information has come from reading all the posts on these two products on this forum.

Nxt came first. It is still Meg's most durable product, Meg says, even after the introduction of #21. #21 came second. Apparently professional detailers were buying a lot of Nxt, and were asking for something similar that could be applied with a rotary buffer. Hence the introduction of #21. However, Meg's still says that Nxt is more durable.

So, when I run out of my GC wax, I am going to go with Nxt instead of #21.

I've used both and IMHO M21 keeps my vette looking great longer.

When you use it just remember that a little goes a long way.....put it on thin.

this is what ive read from this forum...however people that use it kinda imply its better than nxt

one bottle of nxt lasts me ages, but id be prepared to split a large bottle of #21 if it suits my needs better

I applied #21 in November, and several months later after some horrible Canadian winter weather I could still see the water beading. I have decided to use only #21 as my LSP.

I had thought i read that NXT was meguiars longest protecting lsp but doesnt seem to hold its looks as long as #21

I tend to judge protection based on two things: slickness and water sheeting (rolling off surface of car). Has OCD we can easily recognize different levels of slickness. And when you run a microfiber towel across a clean paint surface, changes in slickness will be readily apparent.

Also I think that when water sits on the paint and takes a long time to drain (roll) off, that's a pretty good sign the wax protection is gone.

On these two counts, my experience tells me that #21 protects better.

If anyone has other ideas of how to determine protection I would like to hear them.

I like the protection from #21 and the look of NXT, although #21 looks very good too. I often top #21 with NXT Paste.

I will not buy #21. NXT and GC paste are my favorites. I prefer paste wax better. I can't go over a month without waxing my truck so I don't need long term protection, just great looks.

Has anyone compared Nxt or #21 to competitive sealants like Klasse Sealant Glaze? I bought a bottle of the latter product. It definitely lasts a long time (at least 2-3 months so far). but I haven't been as impressed with its shine/reflectiveness as compared to Meg's GC. I hate buying something and then throwing it out, so the Klasse SG is going to be used quite a while (don't need much per vehicle, maybe 2-3 ounces). But, I'd be curious to hear people's comparisons with Nxt or #21 . . . maybe I'll just relegate the Klasse SG to wheels!

NXT and #21 have more shine and reflectivity than Klasse, plus more depth. I used NXT and Klasse on my black Ram Air TA. I have yet to see a product duplicate the look of NXT. It cannot be beat plain and simple. #21 does come close though. Klasse lasts longer than NXT and just about as long as #21. Klasse is good for cold weather use as it dries rather quickly, IMHO more quickly than #21. Klasse would be good for wheels.

I wonder what Klasse topped with NXT would look like? Right now I am using #21 topped with NXT Paste. The NXT goes on very easily with the slick surface provided by #21.
