  • NXT vs GC

I performed the full detailing job (wash-clean-polish-wax-wax) on my 2004 CLK320 a month ago. Last weekend, I waxed the car again. I used NXT as the first coat, then after 30 hours and as a 2nd coat, I applied the front 3 panels with GC and the rest with NXT.

I read somewhere that GC on top of NXT is a better combination than 2 coats of NXT or GC. Maybe because my car is silver, I do not see the difference at all. Too early to tell durability now.

Gold Class isnt going to be as durable as Nxt, but it depends what properties you like.

I tend to think Nxt loses its slickness a little faster than some of the other waxes like Gold Class for instance. But it depends whether you are looking for longer durability, or a longer slickness.

If you wax, or spray wax/quick detail after washings, then losing slickness wont matteras much anyway.

Just all different things to compare... really no right or wrong combination between 2xNxt, 2x GC, or GC over Nxt. All up to you...
