    Black & Decker
    Handy Buffer
    No 9555
    type2
    120vac only 0.7 amps
    3200opm

I'm sorry you might be on a wild goose chase because this item has been in the shop tool box for over 14 years.

I did get a hit on E-bay but I don't have a password to play there.

    good luck

Ps. now that I have your attention is #82 DACP? and is this the stuff that diminishes to a finer polish as you use it?

#82 is the Swirl free polish.

As for the diminish to a finer polish that's a good question. Let me start by "I think" that #83 DACP and #82 SFP will diminish to a fine polish with proper break down. For #83 I don't think the PC has the speed or generate enough heat to fully break down to polish (rotary no problem). #82 I have no idea except that it probably won't either with the PC. I think #9 Swirl remover 2.0 will break down to polish with PC. All the above is just my very uneducated guesses!

As for the B & D I just wanted to get an idea of what you were talking about. Thanks for the info though!

FWIW, Both 82 and 83 break down just fine with a PC.

How long does it take for either to break down?

I hear ya, but Cust Serv keeps saying no breakdown of the abbrassives with the PC. Rotary will do though.

IMO Breakdown whether it does or doesn't with PC, how long etc... One may never really know. I do know the product works and works well. It gives the results people are looking for (especially the results I'm looking for) and is easy to use.

The next question would be how long to work in? 2'x3' section 30-45 seconds or until shine on surface per Cust Serv or 3-5 minutes on the section as found on the net??

Next time you talk to that customer service guy ask him to read you the directions on the back label of both of these products.

Here is a direct quote from both #82 Swirl Free Polish and #83 Dual Action Cleaner/Polish.
For use with orbital or rotary buffer. Work one section at a time... Work product until nearly dry then wipe off excess with a clean dry 100% terry cloth towel.

                  2000 --> I'll check there thanks

jfelbab --> Thanks for the quote I've talked with a few Cust Serv Reps (from meguiar's) and keep getting different answers. We'll just do the best we can. Thanks again I will keep in mind the info from this thread and refer back if I run into trouble.

As a side note I'm going to try #82 first then #83 if #82 isn't working.

                  Thanks again for the posts!

You should test it on your black vehicle before you try it on some one elses vehicle that you are trying to make money off of, the simple fact being you dont want to get caught not knowing what you are doing and not getting paid for the job because you could not deliver what the customer was expecting, trust me from experience it will help you big time. Good luck and post pics
