  • How often to wax

How often should I wax???I usually do once a month
1 - Wash car with NXT generation car wash.
    2 - quick clay .
    3 - Scratch X.
    4 - show car glaze #7.
    5 - NXT generation WAX.

Maintain with quick detailer every time a see a bird dropping. That happens if not every, then every other day.
I have just ordered Polymer sealant #20 and Mirror glaze professional paste wax #16. Any reviews on those? And by the way - will Meguiars make NXT generation wax in paste?

    Hi supercharged,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

One of the best ways to tell if you need to re-wax is to use the Squeak Test

To use the Squeak Test, take a clean, soft 100% cotton Terry cloth towel and fold it 4-ways to make for a nice, plush thick folded towel.

Then, place the towel on your car's clean finish, like the hood and twist the towel back and forth in a circle.

If you hear a squeaking noise, then you need to re-wax, if there is no squeaking noise at all, then wax is still present.

You may want to re-wax even if you don't hear any squeaking noise because even though wax might be present for protection, re-application of a fresh coat of wax will restore a beautiful, high gloss finish. Wax is a sacrificial barrier that wears away with time and exposure to the elements, as well as through washing.

Re-applying your wax often maintains a show car look to your car's finish. As Barry Meguiar's is often heard saying,

"Frequent car care is easy car care"

That is its' easier and faster to stay on top of your car care maintenance then it is to let your car go for extended periods of time and then start at the very beginning and have to restore your car's finish.

it's ok to wax as long as it's not habitual...
