  • Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax

I have a bottle of Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax laying around and was wondering how good of a wax it is?

Compared to say NXT and Gold Class?

Any ideas? I might use it for my next detail.

    Thanks!

For a suggested retail price of around $5.00 a bottle, it's pretty good pure wax. In order to use this wax and get good results, the finish you're applying it to has to be clean and smooth like a brand new car or a finish that you have clayed and cleaned using a paint cleaner first.

It's not for a neglected finish at all.

Once your finish is prepared for the wax, apply a thin coat and allow it to dry until it swipes clear, then remove using a clean, soft microfiber polishing cloth.

    Oh yeah...

    Shake before using.

Here's the hood of our black Pilot after applying the Deep Crysta Carnauba Wax. The hood was washed and clayed, I don't think anything else was done before applying the wax but I keep the finish up pretty nice to start with.

Currently, the entire finish on the Pilot has M21 on it and the hood is more or less bare because I test products on it.

Mike, how would you compare DC3 wax to #26 high-tech yellow wax?

        *bump*

I'm interested in the answer, as the same question came across my mind.
