  • Any subsitute for #80?

I bought a G100, #83, and the correct pads but I have not been able to find any #80 in the Los Angeles area. I have a car that I have taken to the Wednesday night garage several times and have been using #83 followed by #80. What other product is similar to #80 can I substitute?

      1. Do a search as finding products in LA or Orange has been discussed before. Try a PBE store which stocks Meguiar's and if they do not have it they will probably have within 1/2 to a whole day.

      2. How often do you plan on using #80? How many time have you polsihed the car at the Garage nights?

Did you try any PBE stores or were you looking in regular parts stores?

Did you try the dealer locator and check the “Professional Products” box?

If you didn’t see it on the shelf at a PBE store ask them to order it for you. Any dealer that sells products from Meguiar’s Pro lines can order any of the other professional products. In SoCal you can usually get anything in a day or two.

Since #80 is a cleaner/polish, you may want to try DC1 (Deep Crystal 1). It's a paint cleaner, but did a he** of a job both cleaning and polishing (as in deepening the color) of our 9-3 vertible. DC1 is also very mild as far as cleaning ability, so if it doesn't work out for you, it's not like it's going to damage the paint. Plus, DC1 is available nearly everywhere.
