on the wheels it lasts long...officially i dont know but at least a week...what i have is that hyper dressing provides great results but attracts some dust so i use it for wheel wells, tires, and engine only...for tires (which i clean once a week) I spray hyper dressing on the wet tires and let the product dry..then I go around the tire with a foam applicator with a different product, overkill yes..the look awesome..and for wheel wells i spray while they are still wet

edt...as for using this product as a cleaner i would say no...that is the problem ppl have with interior, they spray on a product to clean and protect which is a no-no, you must accomplish this in 2 steps so the protectant can adhere to a clean surface to prevent it bonding to dirt...use a degreaser or even soap and water to clean the motor and dont forget under the hood if it is not covered by a mat

I just used this stuff the other day, but I diluted 1:1 since it said to do that on the bottle if I wanted shiny. Guess I could dilute a little more from what I see you guys posting. One question, one of you said it attracts dust, is there another product like this one (as I love it) that I could use on the outside?? Asking since I own an Avalanche and I want the plastic to look great, but hate the dust that acquires on the tops, etc from other products I've used??

if you want to use to preserve the finish on the outside i would recommend something with uv protection you have alot of cladding so i would go with something that isnt to expensive meguiars make an excellent product called exterior trim detailer which come in aerosol form..it great, any over spray easily wipes off if were you i would use #40, all season dressing, or silicone free dressing..basically whichever you use for the interior to save $$$$$....i love buying in gallons and 5 gallon sizes you save alot of $$$$ however hyperdressing is an excellent product cheapest of all if you dilute 4:1...and when i say it attracts dust i mean i only do the motor every month so that is common of any product.....to preserve your exterior you should be dressing the outside at least twice a month but i do all my exterior once a week after i wash my car...3 years later its looks new

I think you're probably talking about Engine Kote, which was discontinued from Meguiar's Detailer Line. I haven't tried it but I'm sure it works very well, and I believe it has anti static properties which is good cuz a lot of dust attracts to dressings normally. For now Hyper Dressing is a popular choice for the engine compartment, possibly even the replacment for Engine Kote I'm not sure. I use Hyper Dressing diluted 3:1 on Tires, wheel wells, and my Engine:

But you should've seen it before...

You are correct. He called them today and ordered some-I just thought I would dig this thread up to update what it was and saw your post. Anyone ever use it? I am getting a gallon-with my luck I'll love it since it's discontinued, lol.
