  • tree deposits on vinyl

I have a white vinyl top that has yellow spots. they are small, and when I scratch them off, it leaves a tiny yellow spot that I cannot seem to get off the vinyl. Any suggetions on how to remove the yellow "dot"? It could be from a tree or a insect, but I am uncertain as to where it originated from. The original spot has a hard top layer in texture surface and removing it leaves more of a yellow stain.

Well, I think the best cleaner for you will be the #39 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner.

    #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner

You will want to wash, maybe even clay to get any other bonded contaminants, and then use the #39. You may need a soft toothbrush or terry cloth to agitate a little.

Afterwards, follow up with a vinyl/rubber conditioner to protect it. #40 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner is a good start, or there are also cleaner/conditioners in the Marine Line of products such as the Flagship Premium Vinyl and Rubber Protectant.

      Hi truetriplex,

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

These spots could be bug droppings?

The M39 Murr1525 suggested is a great dedicated vinyl cleaner, apply it and then scrub it with a soft brush like our Body Brush and then rinse off and apply a conditioner/protectant.

      p.s.

I've moved this to the Detailing 101 forum.
