is it possible to use endurance tire gel on exterior rubber window trim?

  • #2
Not exactly sure but, I have a hunch that you might experience a little bit of 'running' when it gets wet....

I'd recommend Meguiar's Trim Detailer for those types of areas as it's forumlated just for that type of thing....

I've used Gold Class Trim Detailer a few times and it is holding up well on the cars I've used it on. I just got some #38, and would use that instead in the future, though I haven't tried it yet. I'd probably try #38 or #40 if I were you since they have UV protection. Trim Detailer doesn't mention having anything like UV or antioxidants. Endurance might be a bit too goopy/glossy.

I would recommed using the Meguiar's Trim Detailer (G10810). This product is specifically designed for that type of surface. Endurance is to be used only on Tires. Use the Meguir's Dealer locator if you have any trouble locating it in your area.

        Good question...

          Window Trim

Endurance is a tire product. I use the Trim Detailer as above and because it is nice and thick it works extremely well.
In a pinch you could probably use thin coats of #40 which is an excellant product.

I like Gold Class Trim Detailer you don't hear much about it but I think it works great. I use it all the time on out side trim and rubber(not tires).

If none of the above seem to work right hunt down some W-Dressing in the detailer line if you can. I have a rubber modling behind my side window on my Insight that nothing just quite looked right on. It was either way too glossy or it smeared. It's a really wierd surfact to make look good. W-Dressing is the only thing that looks right on it. And a great product all around. Doesn't last too long on external applications though, but on stuff like dash's it works it's way in after a few applications and creates a very nice new look.
