  • which pads to use?

I have an inexpensive 8" (simonize) random orbit polisher . I'm confused as to which pads to use. I can only get elasticized bonnets to fit this polisher. Available for this are a foam pad,a vinyl backed terrycloth "application pad", terry cloth pads, and synthetic lambs wool bonnets. I should mention that the terry cloth pads are faily coarse ie. not as many loops per square inch as a medium quality bath towel.
I would like to use this to apply and remove nxt wax as well as use it to remove swirls in my black paint with swirl remover #9 followed by dc#2 polish and nxt.
Any suggestion would be helpfull .Thanks in advance.

I have never seen the polisher you bought. My guess is you need the 8000 Series pad, but one that fits the polisher.

The 7000 series are wool and not something you want to use to apply #80 or #83 or any of those unless extra power is needed. Typically the wool is something to stay away from except for extreme situations.

I don't know if they make the 8000 series in 8 inch.
