  • Painted suspension components.

On my 2004 Volkswagen Passat under the wheel well there are rough textured black painted parts. Well my question is how do I clean them? I tried using a terry towel and that did nothing. Should I use a soft brissle brush so I don't scratch the paint?

Personally I have one wash mit thats just for gunky dirty stuff. This is one that will never touch paint, just surfaces like the back side of wheels to remove the brake dust, wheel wells, and under chassis stuff. I just use regular car wash soap with this. Of course after I've washed the car with a good mit. Make sure you don't get cross contamination from the dirty mit.
