  • plast-X on gauge cover?

Can I use plast-x to clear up a slightly scratched instrument gauge cluster lens? It is the one that covers all the gauges on a 1977 ford truck. Just need to remove the small scuffs and all.

    Will it cloud it up?

PlastX works well when I have used it. Depending on the severity of the scratches/hazing, you'll need both a terry cloth and a foam pad in order to restore a flawless finish. If you can't feel the scratches, you'll more than likely be able to make the plastic look brand new if you take you time.

Let us know how it works out for ya!

Worked like a charm!! My gauge set is crystal clear now!! It did not remove one or two heavy scratches though, but thats ok, looks 99% better
