  • The Baltimore Test

For many years, I have waxed my vehicles using the spit shine technique we "learned" in the army. Basically, I mist the area to be waxed and remove it quickly. The reason I know it works is that I've always passed The Baltimore Test.

For those of you who are not informed, let me explain the test.

A common house fly (pedius stickius) is captured and its wings removed, since these are not yet on the endangered speces list. The little pest is then placed on an angled surface (ideal is 38.5 degrees) off the waxed vehicle. If he slips on his little ***, you've passed......

That is a great test. Make sure your QD is on hand to remove the fly poo before it can bond to the paint!
Watch your pennies and your dollars will take care of themself.
