  • #21 Vs NXT Tech Wax

Any difference between the #21 and Tech Wax? Which is the better one.

I've seen from the detailing threads online that the final finish used was mostly Tech Wax.

they're are both the same as they are synthetic sealants. nxt is meguiars longest lasting wax, but some say #21 last longer. only way to find out is to try it out for yourself!

21 blows NXT out of the water in every aspect. I've got both products... done a few side by side comparisons on different color surfaces. White, Black, Dark gray/silver. M21 is much better!

Sorry no Red unless...my neighbor lets me experiment on hers.

The worst color is Black especially during the hot summer months. NXT only lasted a few short days, it seemed to cook right off the surface. M21 lasted much longer on the same HOT surface. And showed it was still on the surface for several weeks.
For a wile there I would write down when each product was applied to each surface...side by side and simply observed what happened over time.

          M21...nuff said.

Oh wanted to add, my neighbor has a mid 90's Ford PU it's a single stage dark green paint that is clearly faided/oxidized. I did rub in some M21 in a small area that gets full sun everyday. The surface instantly had a wet, shiny look and feel, the color poped out. It lasted for + 2 months, and still is the only nice part of the truck.

^^^^^Hmm when I read the above post I expected you to live in AZ or something, not Glenolden. I used to live in Essington before I joined the Navy. Small world. So 21 can be applied by hand with the same results? Hopefully be getting a PC anyway, hopefully.

Yep Essingtons a few towns over.
For the application nothing special required, by hand is perfect...just apply it (thin) as a little goes a-loooong way
