I own a 05 White trailblazer, too put a long story short the vehicle was covered with rust blooms. It was clayed by the dealership numerous times and the rust still came back. I took the vehicle in to a body shop and they cleaned it with the ABC system Decontamination Kit. The rust hasn't came back since. (3 months)At this point though there are light swirls and not quite sure what kinda protection is left on the paint. I want to to clean up and polish the paint then seal it up. This is the plan of attack. Please review and let me know what you think.

    1- Wash & Dry
    2- Clay Vehicle
3- Meguiars #80 applied with PC Softbuff Foam Polishing Pads
4- NXT applied with PC Softbuff Foam Finishing Pad
5- Meguiars #26 applied with PC Softbuff Foam Finishing Pad

Or are there other products you would advise to use on a lighter colored vehicle ?

Sounds good. Just watch if the #80 removes your swirls. It probably will, but if not, you can always go up to the #83 as well.

Would #80 be to harsh for a new cars finish. There are swirls in the finsih but im not sure on how bad they are. I have used ColorX on the finish before and everything looked ok. I recently purchased a PC and I want to really give the paint a good cleaning then seal it up due to the fact it was covered with rust blooms and there is a possibilty they can reappear if the paint is not taken care of.

      Any suggestions would be great

      Thanks

No, #80 nor would #83 be too harsh for a new car's finish. They are very safe products when used with a Dual Action Polisher.
