Any comparisons I offer are from "test" vehicles....half and half, different products/processes on bordering surfaces of vehicles.

"Non-applied areas" were ones that had M26 in place of M21 as LSP on this "test" vehicle.
See the big picture, enjoy the details

You caught me, Mike...I was actually thinking about another product that I had on an adjacent panel that was slicker than the #21 when I put them both on...that one definitely lost slickness...perhaps the #21 stayed the same.

Right--and the textbook case on making that mistake is where the smirking lawyer says "AHA--well if you were a mile away, how did you witness the accident!!!!" and the witness says "Well, I was on top of the Empire State Building with one of those telescopes and I just happened to be looking down at the intersection."

regarding my earlier question about which should go first if #21 and nxt are to be used as lsp

since #21 has more aggresive cleaners then nxt, imho @21 should go first, allowed to be cure and then nxt applied

if nxt is applied first, the cleaners in #21 would probably strip off nxt

what says everybody. i think first #21 and then nxt would provide both extreme protection and extreme shine

Just about every sealant/wax (from multiple companies) I have tried on my vehicle loses some slickness after the first wash. QD or Spray waxes generally bring that slickness back.

Just some additional comments on #21.... Having just done another wash and sitting back and really taking a look, the product still looks awesome! Its very obvious its still there protecting as water beads up very nice and sheets off quite well with the garden hose(no nozzle). Anyway, just some more thoughts.

NXT first because of the extra slickness. It makes the application of NXT even easier than normal. And you are less likely to scratch or swirl the paint with the applicator because there is less friction.

NXT on top of #21 is my favorite combination.

Another way to judge the presence of the sealant, even if it tends to sheet, is how fast it runs off the paint. When it gets slower to sheet/run off the paint, IMHO it means the level of protection is declining. I do test slickness by memory too. Since we are OCDs it is an inherent capability.

The squeaky towel test, suggested by Meguiars, can be used too.
