I've wondered this for a while and read alot of peoples posts but still wonder. How does the Gold Class product line compare to the Mirror Glaze line. I've been a die hard Gold Class fan for years and I'm just starting experimenting with some different Mirror Glaze products. Thanks.

Gold Class products are considered "consumer line" and the Mirror Glaze products are "professional line" products. Thats not to say you must be a pro to use them the Mirror Glaze products.Brandon

Also, you will find most Mirror Glaze products are more easily applied by machine, whereas consumer line products can gum up a bit when used by machine. Mirror Glaze products also tend to have some characteristics helpfull in a production/body shop sort of environment.
There are certainly other differences, but that is the general idea. All of Meguiars products work well together, so you can certainly mix and match.

Thanks for the replies. I recently used #80 followed by #20 on my wife's Jeep. I was very happy & impressed with the finish. I think I should have used #83 to get some of the scratches and swirl marks out but that was the first time I used my PC7424 so I didn't want to go with something too aggressive. Other then that, the only other Mirror Glaze products I used was the Vinyl Cleaner (forgot the exact name) I was just wondering what you guys out there think. I always loved Gold Class liquid but if there is something out there that will maybe last longer or give a better shine, I would be interested. As long as it has the Meguiar's name on it, it must be good. Thanks again.

Sounds like you have a good start... You have a PC, thats great!
#80 is a commonly used product around MOL(as well as #83), as you found out it works very well! I am not real familiar with #20 but another great Meguiars wax you might try:NXT Generation Tech Wax paste or liquid or a similar version but in the pro line, #21 Synthetic Sealant. I have used both and both work great, I just started using #21 a couple weeks ago, I just changed over to it. As for NXT, Meguiars states that NXT Tech Wax is their longest lasting wax. Both look great especially on darker colored vehicles.
This might be the other product you mentioned: #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner.Last edited by gb387; May 10, 2006, 06:31 AM.Brandon

gb387, I just looked up the Vinyl Cleaner that I have. It's the Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner #40. I tried this because I've been using Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant inside and out but I hate how it streaks and runs down my paint when it rains. I still use the Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant inside though. Great product. I finally started wiping it down once it soaks in for a while. I've heard a lot of good thing about the Synthetic Sealant #20 but for some reason I decided to go with #20 Polymer Sealant instead. The #20 looks really good. I may try either 320 or NXT on my truck soon. I recently applied Gold Class by hand before I got my PC and it looks great. Thanks.
