  • Removing signs from windows?

Can't find this anywhere on here but was wondering if anyone had an easy way to remove them. For instance, guy i bought my car from had a georgetown university on the back window. I tryed razor blade and got it half off but the rest won't come off and i dont wanna scratch to hard and scrape the rear defroster lines. Is there anything out there that you can spray on that will make it soft or just come off? I have another sticker on the side back window thats caked on too. Any help is appreciated.

Try to remove as much of the sticker as possible. The gum thats left on the glass can be remove by applying a generous amount of vaseline on the gum and let it sit overnight. Then use a dry towel and wipe it off.

Try a good hardware store, they should have some solution that'll make removing that sticker easier. Here we have a store called Canadian Tire, and just the other day I saw a solution that was formulated to make window tint and car/window stickers come over easily.

I would opt out for using some plastic razor blades if you're afraid to scratch the glass. Once you are done removing the sticker the adhesive should come off easily using Meguiar's Body Solvent.

Last I checked ADS had a 32oz sampler bottle of Body Solvent.

3M makes an adhesive remover that works great and is available at most hardware stores or automotive stores (I think) I have used it with a papertowel and it works pretty well and it's pretty safe on all surfaces. Be careful on paint (as it removes wax) and any other surfaces you don't want stained. It will be fine on the windows, just use a window cleaner afterwards (I love Invisible Glass). Hope this helps.
