  • Serious hardwater spots

I have a friend at work whose car sits under sprinklers all the time at home. She is into cleaning/detailing her car as well and wants to know the right thing to do. I figured asking here would be best.

So now the question, what can be used to remove as much of the spots (lime) as possible? I used a plastic scrapper on a small section of the glass, this stuff is hard to remove.

I figured if I could help clean her car, she could do a drawing for me of mine. She's an up and coming graphic artist, her second show is in September.

    Thanks

I'll have some before pics soon.

The water spots are just on the glass?

Nope the spots are all over the car. Car has a fine coating of what appears to be lime residue from a sprinkler system. Any ideas what to do??

If it was just the glass I would offer a suggestion, but since it is paint, I will leave it to one of the pros on the board.

My Sebring sat under well-water sprinklers here in Florida and gave me really bad oxidation. Using the Deep Crystal System, 1, 2 and 3, I was able to achieve some good results. Frequency is the name of the game if your car is outside alot and especially under sprinklers. Since getting it into good condition I will now wax monthly switching between NXT and ColorX with a full detail session about 2 times a year.

            From this:

            To this:

I was finally able to get the oxidation off the windows using Mike's great tip of using #4 with a terry cloth towel on the windows. I now do that with each wax
