  • NXT Speed Detailer query

    Hi guys,

Just wondering [and I realise this is nigh on impossible to answer really!] how much dust can you safely use speed detailer to remove?

I only ask as I detailed my TT at the weekend and of course it started to rain that night. This leaves a fine amount of dust on the surface when the rain dries.

Is it OK to remove this dust with speed/quik detailer or am I risking marring the finish?

    Cheers

Speaking for myself, I generally try to go for a wash after a rain.

My way of thinking is that he rain may have possibly caused some of the dust/grit/road grime to "adhere" to the finish some small degree. Sometimes I won't even QD after a heavy dew for the same reason. But after a light dew I may QD after a light dew depeding on the amount of dust.

Thanks Jeff, that was my gut feeling too.

It's just such a PITA the weather here at present, makes it very frustrating trying to keep your car pristine as it has been raining just very slightly almost every day [actually usually at night] and my car lives outside
