Ok. How does the "White Clay" which you get 100g and Quik Detailer for $9.99 differ from C2000 Mild clay that you get 200g for $27.99. What is the product number for the "White Clay"? If it is the same stuff--I am on my way to PEP boys to get the White Clay Pronto.

Why are the mild and aggressive clays only for professionals?
From what I understand, claying is a pretty straight forward process.
Is their something I should be aware of or be warned about if I decided to start using the mild clay as opposed to the consumer line clay kits?

WOW. I don't understand that one. My invoice from Tampa Hondaland shows list at 23.70 and sell price at 20.14.

guess i should order a few direct from meguiars

Cell, the in the Professional line, the blue or Mild clay is really not much different from what I can tell that the white clay. But the red or aggressive clay is for a finish is bad shape that the mild clay is not aggressive enough for. From what I understand, it will also leave mild scratches on the finish, so be prepared to polish after you use it.

try autodetailing solutions for clay or your local PBE store if you have one close. ADS has 200 Gram bars for 22.95 each, plus S&H...

I apologize for the confusion, the G1016 is $16.99.

As far as what each color clay does, its best to look at it in how many passes over an area it takes to remove your contaminates.

                  White Clay: 9 passes

                  Blue Clay: 6 passes

                  Red Clay: 3 passes

What makes those products for professionals only is because they are so aggressive they can potentially put light scratches in your finish. Professionals will use them prior to going in and wet sanding or using a rotary buffer to work on the vehicle. If you only plan on doing light cleaning and polishing then be aware that those may put some light swirl in and are for finnishes that are in bad shape.
