Tire Shine

Some of it will wear off when I wash the car. But it is still there, only the shine is more subtle. This is the most durable Tire dressing I have used by far. The sublte shine lasts for 3-4 weeks. After that I reapply and I do not find a need to start with a clean slate. IMHO, the necessity for frequent use of a dedicated tire cleaner is overstated. If you do prefer to start with a clean slate, the Insane Shine Tire Cleaner will do the job, and it will remove every last bit of tire shine. I use it sometimes, but I don't see a need to use it very often.

Enven when I use the Gold Class All Rims Wheel Cleaner, the Insane Shine stays on the tires, which I found very impressive.

My tires never turn brown when I use the Insane Shine. That is one of the things I like about it in additon to the bling factor LOL! From my understanding the brown that comes from the tires is the built-in anti-ozonant. The Insane Shine has it's own anti-ozonants that do not brown the tire. Think of it as a sacrificial ozone barrier that also happens to give an Extreme Shine!

While I like the look of insane shine, I cant keep it looking good for long where I live. Pollen count is high during spring and summer, and likes to stick to the Insane Shine, making it dull within a day. And at school the car sits in and old parking lot, where dust from the cement is blown and stuck to the tires.

Can the High Endurence Tire Gel be applied with a terry cloth towel?

I use the Endurance High Gloss on my Z and love it. It really stays on the tire for a long time, even after washing it a few times. The gloss goes down a little bit after a few washes, but the tires still stay nice and black. I use the Eagle One tire applicators and they work great. Another nice thing about the Endurance gel is that it smells like grape!

Some use a dedicated "tire swipe" that you can buy at either car parts stores or sometimes you can find them in dollar stores. Some people also use foam paint brushes.
The 10 oz. Endurance comes with an applicator.

To apply Endurance, you can use a dedicated applicator or a foam applicator, like Meg's "high tech applicator" (i.e., similar to what you use for waxing). Just don't use the same applicator for waxing after you use it for tires! Even after washing, the black of the tire will stain the applicator. NOt something you want on your finish.

Eagle sells a really inexpensive tire applicator, basically curved foam on a little yellow block of harder foam. I bought them, and can't really say there's much difference between that and using a regular applicator. But for a few bucks for two, not a bad deal. Meg's needs to sell their tire applicator separately. I can find 16 oz Endurance on the shelves, but never 10 oz, which includes the applicator.

Apparently they come 2 to a pack and sell for $1.99 (part # G-7402).
