  • Sealant or Wax?

Which is better guys? I've read on MOL that many folks are going with the sealant. I have been using DC#3 as my LSP. Any advantages of using #20 or #21 over the wax? Thanks for the help guys. I'm getting another shopping list for Autodetailingsolutions.com.

    I found a link answering this...sorry.

Well, the topic I found isn't complete yet and I couldn't add a reply to it. Mike, any information on this topic? I noticed you haven't updated anything on the one in the "Misinformation" section? Thanks.

I think M20 will strip off you DC3 because it has cleaners in it
i read somewhere that sealants have higher melting points so they last longer but i am not sure thats entirely true

get the M21 though i have seem amazing pics! and it speads on really thin

The synthetic ones seem to last a bit longer, which is why they are popular with some people.

I really like the #21.. If you are ordering from ADS, I would highly recomend at least the #21 sample size.

Thanks for the replies guys. If I go with #21 I won't have to worry about applying a wax right? I'm taking that #21 will bring out the "black" in my black car, which is what I'm going for.

That's correct. M21 IS the "wax". Just follow the normal steps to wash, paint clean, polish, then wax or seal with M21. As long as you've used good technique in the main steps, sealing it with M21 will add extra gloss and protection.

I always apply two coats. This week I had the chance to watch a customer wash one of my cars I detailed a week ago, and he was so pleased to be able to just spray water on, and watch it sheet off, then bead up. I blotted an Absorber over this to **** up the droplets to dry it off.
