  • ok heres the deal got a scratch

ok ive been surfin on here tryin to figure if i could use scratch x on my new truck im kinda scared to use it to tell the truth, yesterday i went outside and was going to detail the inside, it had been raining all day and it finally let up some i noticed when i got to my truck i had a little scratch right below lock of my door im pissed and pretty messed up about it, not noticable but noticable to me u can see it, anyway i bought some scratch x and ive been readin some about it im just curious if i apply this on my new truck ,it wont screw it up ive been reading its abrasive and i just dont want to put any more scratches on it while tryin to apply this, is this something i could do being a novice without screwing it up more than it already is. hope anyone can understand this

    Thanks Jeremy

Yes, Scratch X is abbrasive, but no it will not hurt your paint. It is very "bubba" proof, to quote Mike. When you have a scratch, you need to sand the top of the paint down so it becomes even with the bottom of the scratch. However, ScratchX is very gentle so it would take a long time just to remove enough paint to even effect the depth or duriabilty to the clear coat. Of course the amount of material you need to remove however, is completey dependant on the depth of the scratch to begin with.

i found that it helped some after a wash polish and wax with NXT paste, man i found it harder to take off than gold class but i like how it looks
