    How many cars will the Smooth Surface Detail kit do? Am I better off just buying 200 g of mild clay and final inspection separately?

    Depends...

    If the car is 10 years old, and never clayed, then one car is all you might get.

    If it is brand new, cared for from the begining, you could clay it 4 or 5 times. Granted you would need extra QD, etc but the clay would last.
