    Just a question.

I recently had some wind damage to my vehicle. It was repainted/refinished on the whole front end and doors.

The dealer did some horrible buffer work, left all sorts of holograms and marks. After some arguing and work with the insurance company they buffed out the marks again, (which should not have been there in the first place).

Here is the thing. My car is in desperate need of a good coat of wax now. The paint looks good in most areas, however I feel the hood still needs a scratch x treatment.

The dealer says no wax for 60 days. My question is isn't the paint already dry and cured. They were much harder on my "new" paint than I ever will be when they added the complimentary buffer marks and then removed the buffer marks.

What is your alls take on this. BTW I will be using the my usual wax (nxt).

BTW, the original work is about over 2 weeks old now.

Automobile paint manufacturers recommend not waxing a freshly sprayed finish from 60 to 120 days.

A good idea might be to apply a coat of speed glaze now and then agian in 2- 3 months topped with NXT.
