Which is best to use to remove minor swirls by hand? Should I not even attempt by hand and use a PC (Still waiting to purchase).

    Hey,

To remove swirls by hand, Meguiar's SratchX would be your best choice. Here is a link on how to properly use the ScratchX:

How to remove a defect by hand with ScratchX

    I hope this helps!

How many swirls do you have to remove? If it is a whole car or two, wait till your PC purchase.

If it is one panel, or a small scratch, then go for it with the ScratchX.

I should have given alittle more detail, sorry. The car is new and has some very minor dealer swirls if you know what I mean. Should I use scratch X by hand or #9 and if #9 should I wait for the PC. Or do you recommend some other procedure. Again, the car has very minor swirling but it must be my OCD coming out. I have read the link regarding removing swirls by hand.

For minor dealer swirls on a new vehicle, I think that I would be tempted to try just a good cleaner/wax. I'll bet that ColorX would do the job for you. ColorX would also leave a pretty good protective coat of wax/sealant. When I apply ColorX by hand, I really work it in. I use a circular pattern, then horizontal followed by vertical patterns. I suggest using a foam pad to apply ColorX.
