  • Polish/Wax making rock chips look worse

    I recently detailed my car and everything turned out great, except that the polish/wax seemed to have filled in all the rock chips I have on the front of my car. There are little white circles around every chip, it really annoying!!!! I tried spraying it off a couple of days afterwards at one of those pressure wash places, it didn't work. What can I do?

    Good question. Rock chips can be very annoying to deal with, beside the fact that they are an eye sore, they trap wax inside when you work. Here's something you can try to help get that wax out of there.

    Try using our X1130 Triple Duty Detailing Brush to get into those small areas. If you wash the area with a little dish detergant and warm water it will help loosen and strip that wax off so you can use this brush to get in that small area and clean it out. Glass cleaner also works.

      I have the same problem from time to time and what I find works well is some quick detail spray and the brush that Tim recommends. Yes, it's a bit tedious having to tend to these little areas, but it isn't called detailing for nothing!!

          Okay, I tried both techniques and neither really worked, this is some stubborn wax!! Any other ideas? The front of my car looks like swiss cheese

            Same issue here.

            Same issue here;
            Except my entire chip is filled in with wax...may be because repair is actual lower that surface...going to try what was suggested, but I think my repair paint may have lifted out?? when using scratch_X and or Gold_Class and is now a dried wax chip filler?
