When I first bought my truck about 3 1/2 years ago, I was very uneducated about the proper care of a vehicle's various finishes. The big mistake I made was using a brush that was for tires on my clear coated aluminum wheels. It scratched them pretty badly, but I don't believe you can easily feel the scratches or anything like that.
I do not have pictures right now, but these are the wheels that were used from 95-98 on C/K series chevy trucks, and for a longer time on surburbans. The have a coated plastic center cap as well. The scratches are very noticeable in the light, and the wheels look pretty bad as a result.
Is there any success to be had using an abrasive polish such as 80 on these wheels? I could also get some scratchx easily if this would be a better option.
Any improvement would be great, as they will be the only thing that looks bad after my upcoming detail. (Can't wait for summer break, lol. One more week!!).
Thanks as always,
Matt Colvin
