  • Cleaning your pads while polishing

As the subject states, what is the best way to clean you pad from product build up while polishing?

I'm have ing problems with micro marring, and I think I've traced it back to a saturated pad. When I asked the question to a e-friend, he asked how many times I was cleaning my pad. I replied none!

So I do a little search here and anytime it talks about bad cleaning, its about after your done type of cleaning.

I'm thinking of a terry towel or something, but what's the correct way, and what frequency?

Not sure the exact way to do it but I fold a cotton terry towel a few times place it on a hard surface then place my PC(running) on a cotton terry towel, seems to remove some of the product.

    We are talking PC?

Have you considered the foam/wool pad cleaning brush offered by ADS?
I seen one being used in a Meg's video and it looks like it works rather well.

This unique tool will gently clean your pads during rotary compounding or polishing. Helps to reduce load up of product. Made with polystyrene bristles. Safe to use on all types of foam or wool pads. Recommended for use with rotary buffer.
        $14.95

Its under "Buffing Accessories" on ADS
