How to protect Red paint in the harsh Aussie Sun

Hi everyone,

I've recently picked up a new Golf GTI in red. Everyone has been telling me that red fades badly under the harsh Australian sun and seeing older red cars on the road only proves this statement.

i would Like to know what products i can use to help stop fading. If you can suggest products that are available in Aust that would be great. if not thats ok. My dealer i bought the car off has suggested using Meguiar's Wet look on the car, but i don't know if this helps the car stop fading.

what state do you live in?

as for stop the paint fading, i would say regular washing and waxing would be the key to start on.

you can protect with a wax that contains UV uinhibitors (im pretty sure NXT has those).

when you say other red cars are faded, do you mean faded or have oxidized paint. those are different things that are combated in different ways
