What should I add to my Meguiars collection?

Hi guys and gals....

I work for a construction equipment company and one of our vendors is Napa Autoparts. They have this "Napa Cash" game piece game going and since I do all our parts orders I get the game pieces when our parts arrive. Well.. I got one today for $10.. just enough to cover most of the Megs products they carry per bottle. They carry a good assortment, but not everything.

Meguiars products I already have:
-Car Soap
-M83
-M80
-NXT liquid wax
-NXT Speed Detailer
-Quick Detailer
-Scratch X
-Clay
-High Endurance Tire Gel
-Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner
-Interior Shine

Off the top of my head I could use a rubber/plastic trim shine, maybe a waffle weave towel (if its recommended over my current Absorber), maybe some M85 or M84 because after taking the car out yesterday I realized I didnt get all the inperfections out and may need something more aggresive.

I was also thinking about something to use before the NXT liquid wax but after the M80.

How about some NXT Metal Polish? I need some for my exhaust tips!
On second thought, ditch the Absorber and get a Water Magnet!

I would probably add a #7 show car polish, a #21 synthetic sealer, a #16 for the just for kicks, and a #82 swirl free polish, when #80 and #83 have done their job and you just dont need a #80 or #83 to do it again.

Is the water magnet really that much more effective then the Absorber? I know the magnet seems a bit bigger, size wise, which would be nice.

synacide... I had a bottle of #7 in my hands today, was thinking about getting that but decided to ask here first. Looks like the #21 is discontinued, and #82 looks kinda promissing. Is there enough of a difference in #82 and #83 to have both? Thanks..

Oh yeah... since Im here.. Ive already applied a coat of NXT liquid wax. Would it be OK to throw the #7 over that, then do another NXT after that?

Absorber, no way!

On the Absorber, I know this from experience unfortunately, but it tends to trap dirt and make swirls, but the Water Magnet being soft and having nap acts as somewhat of a cushion in the event that dirt gets under there while you are drying. A must have!

OK.. thats it.. Im gonna get the Water Magnet if NAPA has it available!

Hmmm... so Im gonna get something else too.. probably #7 if I can get one of the regulars to help me with some info on the Q I had.

Hey, 35th:

Thought I would mention that M21 is the newest Synthetic Paint Sealant. Not only is it NOT discontinued, it seems to be one of the most talked about products Meguiar's has out!

Is there enough of a difference in #82 and #83 to have both? Thanks.

#83 will be the most agressive paint cleaner that Meguiar's reccommends with the G100. #82 is much less abrasive, so what most people reccommend is to use the least aggressive product first to achieve your results. I have #83 and I haven't even touched it yet since #80 got rid of my swirls. Here is a thread that lists a scale of abrasiveness:

#82 is the second to least agressive next to #9. Since you have #80 and #83, your car should be mostly swirl free so most likely you won't need #83 again for awhile. That's where using a milder paint cleaner is recommended.

I find that when using the absorber, I just lay it flat on the car and let it absorb the water, and then squeeze out the excess. I never use a wiping motion, so that may be a method to avoid scratches.
