Cabriolet roof

Hello all I am new to this forum, we have a peugeot 306 Cabriolet this has a fabric roof can anyone recommend a good way to clean it and also what products to use to protect it. The rear screen is a plastic flexible screen whis has two opaque lines across it also has one repair patch so we will be replacing it soon jusst wondering what can be done to prevent the replacemrnt from going the same way
