The Meguiar's duster works pretty well for light dust (better than the competing brand IMO) but there's a point where I just decide to wait until wash day....heavier dust, if it's really windy or there's construction going on near where I park.

To be on the safe side, I would just wash my car again. I know at least my car will have a fresh coat of "clean" and I know I removed all the dust off my car. If you have any tree pollen or tree mist on your car, your really taking a chance on scratching your paint if you try to dry dust it.
