  • Scratches on Trunk - Help!

I finally got a photo of the scratches on the trunk of my 2004 Thunderbird.

I have read many of the contributions to the forum and my plan is:

    Wash/Dry
    Clay
#80 and if that doesn't work then #83
    NXT Paste Wax

I don't have a DA Polisher like the 100A but I plan on buying one since the scrathes are numerous and I don't think I can get them all by hand (plus it would be way to much work).

    Any other suggestions?

Sounds good to me. Just make sure to use good quality pads like Meguiars when you do use a da polisher to fix the finish.

Also, Nxt or #26 either one will look great on that color

          Fingers crossed

Well I went and did it. I Bought myself a PC and some mequiar's #80 and #83. I hope it will work on my scratches! I will give it a try when everything arrives.

So howcome I don't see many lady detailers on this forum? Ladies....you don't detail your own cars?

Start out with the #80 first... never know, it might be enough... and if not, #80 still is the easier product to get a hang of things with first.
