After working a few areas over pretty good (ALOT) with the DA, I am seeing what looks like tiny pits, but I wonder is these are the remnants of scratches. I had not noticed pits before, but I may have been focused on the scratches. Any ideas?

It's hard to say without any pictures what would be causing that to happen. It's possible that the pitting you are seeing is just the remnants of scratches you have buffed out or they may also be defects in your paint that you never noticed until buffing revealed them more to your eye. There's not much I can suggest other that to continue to buff. If the pitting is too deep you may want a professional to look at them. Hope this helps a little. If you can ever get any pictures, post them and we may be able to get some better answers for you.

I have these all over my Ridgline. When I first got it I did not notice it and my being new as a detailing enthusiast thought I had not let the NXT cure long enough. But later on, after doing some claying and polishing I realized it was in the Paint. I have not tried to polish these out as I suspect they are all through the paint layers.
Sometimes I almost wish Meguiar's would actually come up with a dedicated filler product to combat things that Cleaning and Ploishing won't resolve.
I can;t say I have noticed these pits getting worse as I have been doing quite a bit of polishing lately. They are scattered all over the paint and bug the heck out of me.Jeff Smith
Don't mistake my enthusiasm for experience.
