Do all the Meguiar's interior products give a glossy look to the dashboard? I'm looking for one that makes the interior look wet but not shiney. The windshield reflection is bad...

Well, all dashboard materials are different, so what may give me a nice matte look might end up glossy for you. But here is what I do, to get a nice matte black/gray look on my interior plastic, which is textured:

Spray Nxt Tech Protectant on MF cloth, and wipe around, applying evenly throughout car.

Let sit for 5 minutes or so.

Buff off excess with a clean MF towel.


Hyper-dressing is another possible product, as you can dilute it to different ratios to make it more or less glossy, however, I have not used that product, so someone else can comment on it.

I use Tech Protect on a applicator pad. I use a lot (a liberal amount of product, as they say and wipe down all surfaces in the car. Let it sit for a few minutes and then buff it off with a microfiber. It doesn't look slimy like some other brands but just makes all the surfaces look new and clean. And I still think it has some sort of dust repellant as after I use the Tech Protect my dash stays dust free for at least a couple of weeks.

If dash reflection is bad for you then you'd want something like Tech Protect as a shiny or wet look would reflect more than just a nice clean look I think.

Non-Glossy Interior Products

I use the Quick Interior Detailer and this product does the job. It is easy and great to work with plus the added advantage to my clients is that it does NOT leave the greasy smear of others and has a muted no glare look.
