  • Oxidation after 2 coats of wax

I just finished doing a full detail job on my '83 Benz (I posted the results in the extreme makeover forum) and was wondering:

After rubbing off the second coat of #26 wax, I was still getting some of the residual paint on the polishing cloth. Here were the steps I took:

Handwash, claybar, DC cleaner, DC polish, #26 wax.

I used the PC for everything except the final waxing (second coat) and was still wiping off blue junk upon removal (I let it sit over an hour). Any thoughts??

You always get some paint transfer with single stage paint.
    I want 4" Softbuff pads!

Thanks. I was wondering if I maybe didn't use enough cleaner or something of the sorts.
